Knowing Him by Name

Husbands and wives give each other special names like, “darling,” and “sweetheart.”
Parents give their children pet names, short forms of their names. Bob for Robert, Susie for Susan.
The patriarchs of old “named” God according to their experiential knowledge of Him.
In Gen. 22:14, Abraham experienced God as the miraculous provider and “named” Him, Jehovah Jireh. He revealed Himself in Ezekiel 48:35 as Jehovah Shammah, the ever present God. The psalmist in Ps. 23 named Him, Jehovah Rohi, the Lord my Shepherd.
What name do you call Him? What has your experience with Him been like? He can be to you, especially in the face of harsh conditions of life that want to keep you under, your glory and the lifter up of your head. Ps. 3:3. He can be your saviour, the Bishop of your soul, in the person of Jesus. He can be your friend. Jn. 15:15
Get to know Him more by interacting with Him in the place of prayer and studying of His word. You will become intimate with Him and call Him sweet names stirred up from the inside of your soul. Do you know that no matter your challenges there is name that God has given to solve your challenges?
As you call upon Him today the Elshadia will become for you, glory to God hallelujah.
